Neither Anon or Gemma have launched foul tirades like Liz did, so why would I ban them? I think enough has probably been said on this whole subject, but I didn't and I won't insist people stop talking about this issue... I only ask they do it with some respect for others. I don't like locking threads because if you lock a thread before people have said all they want to say, people just start new threads, which is worse than a thread carrying on IMHO.

No I do not believe that bigpaws should apologize. Liz came onto this site attacking people. Liz was making people feel bad for no good reason at all. Bigpaws read her posts on iie and saw that the only thing that got to her was her family. Bigpaws was simply trying to show her how she is making everyone else feel. I do not think you would be so quick to defend Liz if it was you she attacked. I never met bigpaws as "bigpaws" I met him as normal and he met me as normal. I will continue to keep "bigpaws" in my company as I do get on great with him. If you read his threads and posts he is nice to everyone that is nice to him and he is not nice to everyone that is not nice to him. I agree with this as you should treat others as you would like to be treated. Unfortunetly Liz did not do this..

Thank you for your reply Gemma but it does not add up that you say you would apologize if you said that but you say he should not. In both circumstances Liz would still have started it so why would you say you would apologize but he would not have to, I’m sorry but that is a cop out. What goes for the Gander should go for Goose in this case, foul words are foul words regardless whose tongue utters them.

I am not defending Liz in any way, it is not possible to defend the indefensible, which is what you are now doing. She unilaterally lambasted everyone here until eventually people took the bait (which is what she wanted, make no mistake) and then played the hard done by card, but did do what I thought she never would and did apologize, which is a first, just as the astonishing fact that Patricia actually banned someone here (rightfully) for the first time which is a second.

That is two hitherto impossible events, and as things tend to come in threes (at least they do at the Ballygobackwards swingers parties I’ve attended) would it not be amazing if the triumvirate of nigh on book of revelations level celestial conjunctions happened and he actually apologized for once for his actions yet again against yet another Woman.

Yes she has been absolutely horrible to nearly everyone be they man or woman, fish or fowl but you do not under any circumstances say what was said, flypan said similar to bigpaws, you and others and rightly got sent to Holyhead, (not sure if that was Holyhead in Wales or Holly head the Escort) we all unless born of a Jackyl have or had a Mother. We all may have or one day be blessed and kissed by God with a Child, they should be sacrosanct in life as well as here and I condemn what was said about his Mother by flypan just as much as what he said about Liz’s. When he finally could not handle me speaking openly and honestly he concocted the most vile idea and picked a Woman at random to blackmail me into silence because as you say yourself he picked on Liz’s Achilles heel of her Mother and he knew that my only Achilles heel is that I wish no harm to be visited on any Woman on the face of this Earth.

That is all he does here is find peoples weakness and use them against them, it could be argued that silencing Liz is for the greater good, but where was the greater good served by terrifying an innocent Woman just to stymie dialogue.

He has now used his dubious talents to try and silence both ends of the posting spectrum. I who only debated point by point on any given topic an stuck to the facts and Liz who goes off on the wildest and hurtful of tangents. So begs the question……What exactly is the type of forum and level of discourse he wants.

And I humbly submit that it is not for any of us to come up with such brothers grim tactics to deal with each other, it is for Patricia to decide whom shall have the privilege(not the blind right) of exercising free speech here. She has set down a benchmark for what in acceptable behavior on the boards and if found to have breached them has to date banned two. If She intends this to be a long-term policy I await with interest to see if it is maintained and all are under it's umbrella and that people are able to curb their enthusiasm over the long term not a few days until it all blows over. I doubt they will be able to and will seek shelter instead in the ethereal quality of the chatroom or slander house as whould be more apt a discription to be abusive there instead. I hope E-I has a log off what is said in there and do the same rules of behavior apply there also ?.
