If you miss your dogs why not just bring them over? they won't go into quarantine from the states however bringing them back you will have to 3-6 months but if you're leaving them anyways what's the issue, they get depressed as you're not there anyways so it's not like putting added stress on them. If you miss them that much just bring them over?

It's your imagination, she looked at Steph's situation and articulated posted about how she would do things differently, especially if you deeply love and miss your dogs, it's not really a stretch to ask why have them separated from you when you could have them with you.

Melinda, it's not a good idea to start transporting the cats from A to B. Not so bad if they had done it from being kittens and were used to the arrangement, but I'm guessing they are not that young and it would not make them happy. They know their home, they are comfortable there and they have each other for company. They would appreciate routine, which you give them and happy with the time they get in your company, but they will not likely be pinning after you in the way a dog would be for its master. Dogs have been known to lay down and die where their masters have died. You have never heard of a cat doing that. They would mourn for a little while and move on.

You are doing your best by your cats. Maybe not such a bad idea to spend one extra day at home per week, but if you do make it a routine and not now and again, so they can predict your movements. If you are not careful you are likely to do more harm than good by starting to move them around and not so easy when you have more than one cat. Don't make an unnecessary rod for your own back and make things worse for them.

I have one of these for water and one for biscuits in my place >>> cat feeder

I also have a 4 day food dispenser for meat, but that would be no good for you having more than one cat. You might find investing in these will help, as the cats will never go thirsty or hungry and then all you are doing is providing them with company and love when you get home. Also you can leave a radio on, as they like to hear things, it stops them getting board and have a few toys around with cat nip on them. These are all recommended on the internet for cats that may have stress or moving home. There is also a spray you can buy called feliway spray

This is good for calming and relaxing them if you do ever move them or if you think they are not happy. A sign of an upset cat would be clawing the furniture. They do this when they are anxious. If they are not doing this, then you have nothing to worry about. xxx
