To be fair, there is no protocol for introducing one's self. You can't standardise and pigeon-hole everything.

Oh ya I understand that it is up to each and every one weather they want to do it or not, I personally would introduce myself just to get started on a forum. It's a quick way to start chatting instead of just jumping into a thread and having other posters wondering who this new person is.

Please can we lay off the newb bashing? Not every newbie is a journalist/troll/previously banned member returning.

From this point onwards, any newbie bashing will just be removed. It was funny the first 100 times, but now it's boring and putting people from interacting with our community. We could be missing out on some quality posters
