Exact same, gif is just another type of image format, some gif's are animated others just a single image but both are classed as an image.

It is a fair point, I agree but I dismissed it for the very reason I gave, once it's on the net it stays on the net, if you don't want yourself recognised then hide your face, anyone linking to the image here isn't really changing anything, the image is on the net to stay..

Just to give an example, this lady who is long gone from our shores advertised on this site back in 2006, over 7 years ago

Generally a private gallery is just that private so I wouldn't use the same method although it is possible, I would respect her boundaries and if any lady has an issue with an image of her being posted she only need contact a moderator to have it removed, including the above.

I'll also note the above videos are unlisted and do not show up on a youtube search.

I don't agree, I think that the poster should get permission from the lady in the first place. This has been an issue in the past but people want to get their brownie points before anyone else and this does occasionally backfire.
