I'm a qualified chef and have been working as such for a while, so I do like to think I can cook

In all fairness; when I started catering college I said to myself, even if I don't end up as what I'm being trained for, cooking is a darn handy skill in daily life. You can create something from almost nothing, can feed yourself and yours cheaper, and gain more appreciation for food in general. And since we all eat, I can't comprehend how oblivious some remain about cooking. All the better perhaps, it's how I make my money after all

I've been lucky with both the men in my life and some of my special clients. Amazing cooks who taught me a thing or two. I've just stood back in awe at some of their offerings.

I wouldn't be in a relationship with someone that can't cook. The thought that beans on toast is the best I Can aspire too if incapacitated ... better to be on one's own! LOL!

Everyone should learn how to cook - it's an essential skill, ensures that you eat well, can save you a lot of money and puts you in touch with your senses, (taste, smell, sight, touch and even sound...). And cooking for others is one of the most sharing things you can do for another human being - it is physicality by another means, making them feel good through the thought and care you've gone to by cooking, and (assuming you do it well enough), arousing various senses by the results. Only sex is can compete in terms of the sheer range of sensual effect that cooking food for another person can have.
