Sorry for asking a stupid question but looking at the tournament schedule, it seems that some of the seeded players are not involved in the first round or else there is a preliminary round for the lower ranked players. Am I right in thinking that?

Yes to be fair your man played very well having started poorly! Sad to see Lewis go out so early. Still think he will get a premier league spot.
