    Exclamation False Widow Spider

You know the way in Ireland lots o people are afraid of spiders even tho they don't bite you but they look creepy and eww well I am afraid anyway LOL

To make it worse in Ireland now there is a rise in numbers of the "False Widow Spider" it is about the size of a 20 cent coin and has a severe bite

They have a dark shiny body with pale markings and a cream band on there abdomen !

So of you see a little spider like that don't touch it although who would be stupid enough to touch a spider not me anyway eew lol

Think there is 1 or 2 in my shed

Biggest number of reports have been in the south and East of Ireland !

They won't kill you or anything just give you a nasty bite

Seems to be a big hype about these over here as well... someone seems to be creating a lot of mass panic now for something that has been in the country since 1879.

Give it a couple of weeks and everyone will have forgotten about it.

Schools in the UK have been closing over these arachnids turning up, and I've read somewhere that these spiders aren't actually that harmful, it is that the media has caused mass hysteria... as usual
