If they are listening to or reading another person’s words, they come to a conclusion about what is meant even though the writer or speaker has not stated this explicitly.

    Yes, it's transmission versus reception. Stephanie implied, you inferred. Both are correct. Stephanie did not infer however. She subtly implied that she was a far superior escort to some others, as she enjoys her job, and they do not.
