This of course includes financial responsibility.
it's not about throwing money at 'the young person', but trying to educate them to this world of ours.
Unfortunately, the child can be taken advantage off - not the Childs fault nor the parents - it unfortunately happens no matter how much care the parent takes.

What in my opinion separates the good and bad parents is how they deal with this issue.
What should be paramount, is how the 'young person' is supported during this time.

Is it the fault of the child or parent?

the thing about drug abusers is, they will always find a new a drug to abuse its the personailty of a person not the drug as such
