I saw all the contraversy yesterday about Miley Cyrus scantily dressed and doing a raunchy dance with Robin Thicke at some awards ceremony. What's the big deal? She's nearly 21. Is it because she was only a girl a few years ago doing Hannah Montana? It doesn't do anything for me. I can see why she done it. The more racey something is the more it gets talked about. It leads to a lot of publicity. Everyone is talking about it so it worked. Everyone feeling sorry for Robin Thicke. The man was enjoying it and it was clearly rehearsed. No doubt it will lead to more sales for them both!

I think its very worrying that these "role models" put pressure on young girls to be waif thin, wear barely anything and play into roles around men's sexual fantasies. The pressure put on young women and men to fit some sort of "Ideal" is very insidious and damaging imho. I think society needs to ask where will this end, and what will the cost be. It seems young people are becoming more focused on outward appearance then what really makes a person worthwhile.
This may seem rich for a post on this site, but people here are adults not teenagers trying to be something they are not.
