62% of British women 'check phones during sex'

62% of women in Britain have claimed to have interrupted sex to check their mobile phones.

The survey, in which 1,747 men and women were polled by VoucherCodesPro, found that by comparison, only 48% of men stopped sex for the same reason.

The most popular reason for interrupting sex was to answer a phone call (34%), while 24% have paused to read or reply to a text message.

22% admitted to reading or replying to emails during a sexual encounter, with 12% stating they've made phone calls.

4% have stopped sex to check or update social media profiles such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

VoucherCodesPro spokesman George Charles said: "The results of this study, although amusing at first, do pose the question of just how much we have all allowed technology to dominate our lives.

"It is particularly shocking that more women confessed to checking their phones during intimate moments than men.

"Yes, our lives are hectic and full of work and personal commitments, but surely we can all still take the time to dedicate ourselves to a little romance now and again without the constant need to check our mobile phones?"

If it was to interrupt me whilst I'm on the job, it would have to be a fucking important call I was awaiting!!!

I have on occasion told escorts to go ahead and answer their phone. It could be another booking and they are working so a punter would expect the phone to be answered. Some do and some girls don't. If my phone rings during an appointment I generally answer it as it may be important.

I don't think I'd be impressed if a girl decided to check her Facebook page or other social media.

Such is the age that we live in.............technology interrupts us just as the old doorbell did back in the good olde days.

If you're literally in the middle of sex, and the girl reaches under the pillow (or wherever they put the phone) to read a text and then actually REPLY to the text... that's just... insane! Does this mean 62% of women just aren't really into sex with whomever they're sexing?

That's how it would make me think anyway... so bored she's reading/replying to texts during sex lol

Gosh, my phone would always be well out of sight! And hypothetically speaking, even if my phone was right beside the bed or within sight for whatever reason, I'd be far too "into it" to even notice that it's there
