How Long Does It Take

Just wondering does anyone know how long it takes to receive a speeding fine in the post
was travelling to Dublin on Sunday and passed two speed traps one by the guards and one by the speed van
was speeding on both occasions but not excessively!!

Thought I might have been got Monday of last week, but nothing yet. Does the thing flash or something if you are caught?

The one when u say passing the guards I wouldn't worry about ..they have 2 stop u and show u how fast u were goin the other one takes about one week

They speed van will send the information to the garda and they will decide wheither to fine or not depending on how much over the limit you were ,it shouldn't take more than a week i reckon ,ask Mick he might be able to get it quashed lol.

It was a guard with the camera on the tripod didn't think they had to stop you for that
they will stop you if they only have the speed gun alright

Not sure if the same applies down with you but up here in the north if you don't receive it within two weeks of the offence then it's invalid.
