I ask only one question "are you available at 9pm?"
And then leave my chosen lady to ask whatever questions she likes...
"How long would you like to stay?"
"what would you like me to wear?"
Anything else is pointless...

I see no point asking a lady questions over the phone, if I have called her I have already made my decision to meet her and any questions would just waste her time and mine.
The only time I might ask a question is if we are meeting locally, then I would politely explain that I want to meet her but there is an area I cannot go to and if she is in this locality I won't waste any of her time. None to date have refused to confirm or deny they are in that area..

Tacky, I like the word..
Yes, those would be the questions the potential visitor will have to answer , indeed. x
Good post.
Some people likes or not hotels, I have no problem to say if I am in one, in order to not waste both time, in case he doesnt like it , feel uncomfortable to visit one.
Organise nearly all my appointments by pm. Would get too tongue tied on the phone if it was the initial contact and forget half of what I wanted to say. As the ice is broken with the pm, the phone call is a quick hello and get the final pieces of the jigsaw such as where I need to go.
