The dreaded "wait five minutes" - a question

A question for all fellow punters.

On recent punts, every time I have rang and made an appointment with an escort, I do the usual and arrange a a particular time (and place) when I will ring her. Each time I have got something like "I am not ready, wait five minutes and I will ring you back". I end up standing at (an often cold!) street corner like a wally waiting for her to ring back. Nearly every time, it is more than five minutes - more like ten minutes and sometimes fifteen or more. (This happens even when I got into the habit of texting in advance to say that I'm on my way and to confirm the time of the appointment.)

My question is: Has this got more common or am I getting more cranky as I get older? I can't help thinking that if someone was paying me €200 for an hour's work, I'd be on time!

I have also noticed that most times (but not always), the escorts who are not ready provide a pretty bad service. Has this being your experience? It has got to the point that I'm thinking of canceling the appointment after waiting for five minutes.

Recently, I had a particularly bad experience. I was hanging around waiting (fifteen minutes after the appointed time!) when a couple I know really well came walking down the street. I had an awkward time explaining why I was in their part of town without contacting them. I couldn't think on my feet and what came out was pretty lame.

It happened to me about twice. The first time I kept having to text the escort for proper directions, what should have taken about 5 minutes took about 20, so I was delayed by about 20 to 25 minutes. And the appointment turned out to be very bad.

The other time, the escort kept telling me to ring when I got to a landmark but then she'd say she wasn't ready and that she'd ring me back. This went on for about 10 or 15 minutes and I was getting annoyed so I texted her to tell her I was cancelling the appointment. Then my phone rang immediately and she told me where the apartment was. Then I couldn't get in the main door, it wouldn't open (probably not her fault) so she said she'd come down and let me in. I heard someone coming to the door so was ready to enter the main door but it wasn't her! It was a guy coming out with his bike, I passed him rather awkwardly (saying hello, I'm sure he was wondering what's that guy doing?) and then stood there waiting for the escort to come down to meet me. I had to ring her again to tell her I was in her building and could she come down. She eventually came down the stairs. However, the appointment turned out to be close to perfection so it was worth all the hassle in the end but I really should have asked her what was the reason for all the delay but of course I didn't as I'm probably too nice.

Right lads that was my attempt at a joke ... But here goes its not your fault blame the time waisters in these days your lucky if 1 in 5 turn up so a lot don't get ready till they see you ( unless your a regular ) then depending on what you request the lady to wear can take 10 - 15 min to be ready make up suspenders etc. Also the previous clint could have been late and she has to shower etc etc ..... Look I know I hate the late thing but this is not a regular business just be patient at times and always have a back up story ...
