Did anyone watch Prime Time Investigates programme last night? An undercover researcher posed as a creche worker to secretly film inside three creches. It is very shocking what goes on in these places. Parents leave their children there everyday thinking they are been well cared for. The people that work in these places aren't capable of looking after children. For a start their not trained properly and not paid well enough. Also they don't seem to like children. That's no excuse for them treating these innocent little babies like that. For anyone that didn't see it they tied toddlers in their chair. Shouted at them. Made one sleep on the floor. One woman forcefully grabbed a toy from the child. For some reason RTE decided not to show it on RTE player. The discussion programme is on it but not the documentary itself.

i had it on in the background as i was online also. i found it disturbing, but for the
reasons you've mentioned, can concieve how this happens. what's the solution, this is
not an area i'm well informed on?

Tied them to a chair? I know you've gotta be pretty deep undercover in order for that show to have been pulled off but I would have to draw the line at tying up.

Absolutely shocking but that seems the way society is gone put our children on creches and our old people in care homes the 2 most vunerable sections in society . it unbelievable little kids . will anyone be punished

The wife wants to give up work and mind our child full time since she seen the show, I understand , but cannot afford for her to do that in this climate.

However, I couldn't stop myself wondering would those children have been better cared for, if this reporter had not taken the place of a proper childminder. I couldn't help wondering how much of the lack of care, should be atributed to the reporter trying to get a story, instead of minding those kids properly. Had the reporter any childcare qualifications, or did she fake qualifications to get into those creches?

Prime time have never been big on paperwork. They're investigative journalists so tin hats aside tis duty to the public before procedure

In this day and age there is no reason why a crèche cannot use cctv monitoring which can be accessed by parents at any time via the internet
