I have it on DVD, Ricardo montaban. What a man.
In the film checkov is there when Kahn arrives with his group, Kahn remembers him saying 'I never forget a face'. However checkov wasn't in the first season of Star Trek. In the DVD extras from the wrath of Kahn, Walter Koenig had some funny thoughts about this

Saw this film last night, in 3D. Enjoyable film that moves along at a good pace, not quite as good as the first one but still plenty plot turns and stuff blowing up and noise and flashing lights. Won't say too much more in case I spoil it for you but trek fans will enjoy some of the references
