It is possible to have a petite bone structure and be very tall, so I dissagree there.

These are some of the tallest girls I have seen 5'8 5'10 & 5'11 respectively. I would consider them to have a petite bone structure. Certainly a size 8-10... But this is just my taste and what I consider to be feminine or delicate.

Saoirse is disputing semantics here. Petite, in most people understanding refers to height, not weight.
This is just how things works in the fashion industry and general public understanding.

If you apply 'petite' to the bone structure, yes, it makes sense what you're saying but there are other words that express that better. Nobody calls a 6 foot supermodel 'petite'. Slender, svelte etc are more representative words. A 5 foot woman is considered petite even if she is my size or bigger.

Gosh, Im 5'5 and a size 10 but never considered myself petite... I always thought petite was 5'0 and under and UK sizes 4 - 8. Well ya learn something new everyday

There was a girl used to work in Dublin off the site, Veny I think her name was, she'd have won a place on the Irish rugby team !!

I was with Veny a couple of times. She's amazing, tall, curvy, but also muscular and very, very strong. She definitely taught me a thing or three in the sack!
