Oh yes it can effect you but if your in an open and honest relationship all should be ok..... I hear so much about sex addiction I dont believe it we have urges but it's an emotion that we can deal with but society tells us it's an addiction ....

last time I had sex was august 2009.
Masturbation helps 15 per week for me as I am not in a relationship and have not been with a good few years due to
low self-esteem and depression and found in my last relationship low emotional or physical intimacy,
lack of interest perhaps, dunno why I did we where going out for 8 months in that time I say we had sex 5-6 times
I find that there a big mental aspect toward sex in a person to weather they want it or not a drive for it i.e a couple times a week etc or like my self once in a blue moon and use masturbation to suffice that need.
for me:
addiction to sex: no
masturbation : yes probably
