I had arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder 4 1/2 years ago. I had basically worn out all the cartilage in my right sub scapular (the shoulder blade), and had additional damage to my bicep tendon. The shoulder required 2 titanium screws to separate the bones, as they were grinding together, and the bicep tendon had to be cut, shortened, and reattached to the shoulder. Full recovery was a year and a half.

The injury was basically a progressive one, working long days in a warehouse at a summer job followed by weightlifting was the cause of it all. But now my 'bionic shoulder' is basically as good as new! But that surgery and the recovery was one I hope I NEVER have to go through EVER AGAIN...
