Is it wrong to 'mislead' others by wearing clothes that is not your comfort zone ? Or is it kinda nice to find someone to

    Yup! Clothes maketh the man!!

Just look at Ming and Mick Wallace!! And they expect to get taken seriously???

I spruce up really nicely for work - suit and tie, cufflings etc.

Unfortunately I dress down whe visiting the ladies, partly because I don't want to get recognised by anyone I know, and partly because most of the time I have to put my clothes in a ball on the floor.

Moral of the story - a persons clothing should reflect their personality. If you're a very fun person, wear fun person. If you're into posh restaurants and limos- dress in designer gear.

Many people seem to have missed the point I was trying to make..

It matters NOT in this case what one wears, my point is to be true to yourself.. and not try to appear something

that you are not, do not try to portray yourself in a role that you are not comfortable with, you're not at home in.. xx

I always dress for comfort, but look well presented if possible. I haven't followed fashion since flares went out of fashion about three years ago.

No, clothes does not make the man,
i have met men that were extremely well dressed and were complete ass holes, rude, full of their own importance, self serving ect.
But people have to dress appropiately and it is nice to dress suitable for the occasion, be it dinner date, work or going to a sporting occasion,
Going on a date it is very inportant to be nicely and appropiately dressed,
What way either would be dressed an hour or two later is imaterial,

Alright, so it seems no one got what I was trying to get at.. :

If you see a bloke in a white coat with a stethoscope around his neck, would you assume he's a doctor ?

If you see someone with a toolbelt, would you assume he'd know how to change a lightbulb ?

If you see someone in wellies, would you assume you could ask him about the countryside ?

Now, if for example you turned to this bloke with the stethoscope and asked him a medical question and it turned out

he put on those clothes only to 'impress' , but has nothing to back it up .. would you be surprised, put out, pleased ?

If you asked the guy with the toolbelt about some handiwork stuff and he just looked you, not knowing what you talking about..

If you asked the guy in the wellies about .. whatever...

That's what I was trying to get at.. My post had absolutely nothing to do with what each of you chooses to wear.

It had everything to do with 'honesty' in a person's demeanor... and stuff loike dat .

Pretense -- wrong, or cool ?

I met with a few people, rich people.. and there is loads of them who doesnt want to put attention on himself, he would rather drive around the city with an old car, and not too fancy clothes .... and have the bmw at home
Thats so true...ones I meet a guy he lookd perfectly good clothes ,body etc...but when he opend his mouth I run away

Here's a question for the ladies (and Clyde): what would you make of a man who turned up completely nude??

Hey technically this is on topic! I'm as shocked as you are!
