Lightbulb The Science of Human Sexuality

This thread is a response to my other thread entitled "Post Op Transexual - Why not?"

That thread is still circulating on the boards: https://www.escort-ireland.com/board...sexual-Why-not

Anyway, the thread ended up descending into a mess. Which is rather sad really. But I'm not here to argue with anyone. Instead I've decided to use SCIENCE to explain things and hopefully open peoples minds regarding sexual behaviour in the human species.

The following is taken from Wiki; Alfred Charles Kinsey (June 23, 1894 – August 25, 1956) was an American biologist, professor of entomology and zoology, and sexologist who in 1947 founded the Institute for Sex Research at Indiana University,[1] now known as the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction. He is best known for writing "Sexual Behavior in the Human Male" (1948) and "Sexual Behavior in the Human Female" (1953), also known as the Kinsey Reports, as well as the Kinsey scale. Kinsey's research on human sexuality, foundational to the field of sexology, provoked controversy in the 1940s and 1950s. His work has profoundly influenced social and cultural values in the United States, as well as internationally.

You can vist the Kinsey Institute site here; http://www.kinseyinstitute.org/

Or you look at a very interesting Biopic entited KINSEY starring Liam Neason and Laura Linney; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362269/

Anyway, Kinsey created the Kinsey Scale. A scale from 0-6 measuring Hetrosexuality and Homosexuality. Zero being completely hetrosexual and 6 being completely homosexual. You can give your entire sexual record to the Kinsey Institute to this day which will measure your sexual orientation/prefernce.

But what's important is that Kinsey and his team observed that over the course of someones life that their sexual preferences will change. Which means, just because your sexual orientation or prefence is one particular way when your say 25, it does not mean that it will remain that way by the time your 35, 45 or whatever. It will develop and it will change.

I am mostly hetrosexual but I have experiences with the opposite sex and with Transexuals. But prior to the age of 27 I was 100% straight. After the age of 27 my sexual preferences began to change and I started to become attracted (in part) to members of my own sex and indeed Transexuals too. It was strange in the beginning but after a while and after seeing the film first, I did some research on the matter and it all made sense. I am rated between 1-2. Mostly hetrosexual.

In short, peoples sexual preferences develop and change throughout their lives. So live and let live, just because you think you're one way now, it doesn't mean it will last that way forever.

    Peace out!

    Interesting stuff alright Ric
I'm still a definite zero but can see the whole life-changing perspective aspect of a person's life that Kinsey tapped into.

Remember Liam Neeson played him in a film of the same name some years back....well worth a watch

As stated above, I'm somewhere between 1 and 2 on the scale. Probably closer to 1. I'd say at the moment less than 10% of my sexual history is with Transexuals. And I have been very attracted to some men over my life but did not act on those impulses. Mainly because those guys had female partners and were not gay. But all the same, I was attracted to them, but only them and not towards anyother guys.

One example was when I was 27. I was at a friends house visting and there was a knock on the door. I went to answer because my friend was in the Loo. There at the foot of the door was this tall, quite effeminate looking chap. I was instantly attracted to him, which confused me because at that time I thought I was 100% straight.

Anyway after he left I had to ask my friend "that was a guy, right?" Because I kinda thought (initially) he was a girl masquerading as a guy. I was quite attracted to him and it shocked me. So then I asked "he's gay, right?" And my friend quite perplexed by the questions said "no, he's got a girlfriend and a baby on the way". This only added to my confussion.

Its a deadly film. I posted the link above too. So remember, you won't stay straight for every day of your life. Sooner or later "the gay" will get you.

Feel free to share a story or two.

In fact I'd love to hear stories on this matter from other posters and I encourage them to post them here if they wish. I think a proper discussion on the matter of sexual orientation, preference and gender would be very insightfull.

I believe in being open to accept change. In this case change in sexual preference. I may remain 90% straight for a long time or I may revert back to being 100% straight. Then again, I may develop more homosexual feelings. Who knows, its a big world and it does effect or deep personal feels. But I'm not afraid to confront my feelings and explore them. Denial is a very dangerous thing.

    Well done Ric.

Once again , seems to me all this must be a taboo , no questions are allowed , leave and let leave and of course we must accept something we do not agree with.

While I think is gay to see a TS , some people think is bi .. Something I will not argue because it is possible even if in my mind it is not the way I see it.

So, to get the confusion out of the way, it is not heterosexual , is bi sexual. To say otherwise is just own view and the way one lies to himself, but leave and let leave
