Was it Freedman who said that the Sweden are only showing the Irish the 'happy' side of things?

Has anyone seen the Greg Kinnear film 'Fast Food Nation'? It is a film about the exploitation of Hispanic immigrant workers working for the meat manufacturers and how they are involved in poor illegal working conditions. Greg Kinnear played the part of some guy high up in the fast food chain who checked the QC of their produce, and he shown the lovely, clean processing plant, when behind the closed doors, immigrants were being injured, killed or had to take on criminal work to survive.

    It is definitely worth watching.

Yeah it was Freedman who replied with that... which definitely struck a note with some of them. He also said what works in Sweden might not work in Ireland, as Sweden is a very authoritarian place in general. Freedman definitely made an impact and got some of them (particularly the men) to take a broader view. A few of the senators openly said we have only really heard the other side of the argument and were really interested in his views. He really brought the reality of things into the open. Goes to show how biased the whole process has been to date. Its really painful to listen the narrow minded views of most of them...

I really don't who that woman thinks she is. Just goes to show what a biased member of that committee she is and she should not be there. What's the point of Dr's of sociology and medicine making a submission if she just tells them she disagrees with them. Hopefully she will keep to that routine as I'm sure in the end the members that are wavering at all will recognise her for the harpy she is. Would you trust a women with such a closed mind?

Yes thankfully Ireland is not Sweden.
Dr Freedman gave the example that if you catch chlamydia in Sweden they insist on getting a list of all your previous sexual contacts and informing them... I mean WTF.
Sweden ia a socialist authoritarian country and that's why they brought in their system.

But isn't it great that she went over to Sweden and went out on the game for a few weeks to find out...

...well she did, didn't she? Because otherwise she would have NO WAY TO HAVE THE FAINTEST IDEA WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT.

    ....wow. That's so...
What if "It's Raining Men" and 'Let the bodies hit the floor' are both about the same event but from different perspectives 🤔

They have a fair few Facebook likes on their fan page. If they post it, its the type of thing that could get liked and shared a good bit. Also, if you put "dr. Derek freedman, blah blah blah" under rest of text.

Maybe worth asking for his permission though as well
It's not an exact quote so I wouldn't post it to TOBL myself If you want to send it in, feel free!
