Looks like they need 500, they've got 204 leaving 296 still to go

Yes, as more people vote the number needed goes down, the total figure being the 2 added together (500)

No, the total required earlier was 200, it showed 197,2 more needed, now it is up to 500 .

Didn't realise, if you scroll down the page it says 200 signatures reached, it must be set to increase at different milestones, first one must have been 200, now 500, next ??
