Well ye Sman, i'm sure your not the only one to pick up on that, nor are you the only one to think he is not Irish but one thing we all lie about is our identity and location and I ain't going to knock him for that.
Actually in my post from today I was going to advise he look up the spelling of a location before he "white lies" but felt their was no need to antagonise him anymore!!

I think anyone Irish picked up on the spelling of Island, no-one from that small and proud a community would spell it as such, where Irish is so at the heart of their thinking, but did not want to incur the wrath of the Bonobo police or rock the boat any further. I get the strong feeling he’s not traditional Irish from how posts are worded, (not talking about grammar or spelling but the inflection as a whole)

I understand why Clients would have to protect their Identity for a whole host of reasons and respect that, but most here have alluded to their general location, I tend to believe that their truthful about that at least. I don’t have such considerations myself and so have been truthful throughout, in fact I’ve discussed my findings here with my Sister as we’ve been through a lot together and she also found it an ease to learn of the big picture things I’ve arrived at here.

I think a lot wouldn't divulge too much information about their actual location for a myriad of reason, foremost of all being recognised by the way/wording of there posts, especially if they are from a small town. I have stated I'm from Meath and I have made several references to Navan but technically that wouldn't be the case, but I am from within a stones throw. If I gave may actual area I think it would be posted on the local shop message board that someone in the area has visited this site (of course the person that discovered this would have only been doing research)
Now if I was from the likes of Dublin or Cork I would have no problem stating my location because I have safety in numbers as such.
You have the benefit of being able to discuss your journeys on this site but most are in a relationship of some kind and open discussion would not be possible and the discovery that they visit this site may be somewhat of an embarrassment.

Ireland is still a small place, even Cork is not all that big. I’d say Dublin is the only place that has enough critical mass to provide true anonymity, what you say about if someone discovered your identity, but would only be have doing research is spot on, Ireland can be hypocritical in the extreme sometimes. I told my Sister of my journey here as she is the only person in the world that has an inkling of my past, but even then I’ve spared her the details of that time as she was taken away from it back then for her own good, there is another in my life whom I would not divulge my past to, and my reason for not might seem strange, but its because I’d fear my past (which I had no control over) might taint my future (which I do control) and don’t want to risk it as you have to draw a line in the sand at some point and move on.

I told you they would wreck my head but i went ahead and asked them and thru to form, they wrecked my head. A million questions, who wants to know, why do they want to know ....... but in the end I pinned them down to Blues and Corals. Now they went into all the shades of Blue and Coral, even got out the colour cards to show me but I had my fill and left
Not exactly a definitive answer but that's designers, always hedging their bets to cater for all tastes!!
