    Wink Latin American Influence

Carlos comes from Carlos the Jackal, a famous latin american terrorist/freedom fighter of 1970s/80s vintage. The guy was a true internationalist and a master of disguise, so much so, that nobody really new what he looked like anymore because the only police photos of him were old. Wherever in the world a bomb went off, a plane was highjacked, or somebody important was kidnapped, Carlos was assumed to be behind it. His most famous stunt was sometime in the 70s when he kidnapped the OPEC oil ministers (including the Saudi oil minister Sheik Yamani who was jovially referred to a Shake Your Money) attending an OPEC summit in Vienna. I d'ont think he was ever caught. He's probably enjoying his well earned retirement right now with some beautiful senhoritas in Costa del Bonk.

Marvado is portuguese, and is in memory of a tempestuous relationship that I had with a brazilian beauty.

I referred to you as Carlos the Jackal in an earlier post, never knew I’d half hit the mark, read a book on him once, it was a little sketchy on details because of his elusiveness, a bad bad man, but interesting, I’d take issue with him being a freedom fighter though, as by definition a freedom fighter is committed to freeing his people, where as he was more just into the mayhem and conducted campaigns for many disparate outfits, take what he did for the Palestinians for instance, I have no doubt that if the Israelis paid him more, he would have done there bidding just as easily. I felt he was more a gun for hire to the highest bidder, but you have to admire his cahonas.

You weren’t in Ring Co.Waterford anytime in the 80’s were you ???

    Default Carlos the Jackal

Quite right QPH, the Jackal did indeed hire out his undisputed and much sought after and highly valued services to those with sufficient funds to engage him. He was indeed a freedom fighter though, because he liberated the wealthy of some of their funds, and when you look at some of the people who hired him, these were probably ill-gotten funds in the first place. However he was not alone in the business of funds liberation, just take a look around this website and marvel at all his beautiful disciples.
