proud to be Irish and love living here. As much as I love to travel and visit new countries, I always like to come home.
Despite the recession and the weather, we always come out near the top of any poll when it comes to happiest people in the world. Has to be some reason for it

The weather never bothers me. you could be in Australia now where's it's hitting 50C or other countries where it is the opposite. At least it is for the most part comfortable.

That maybe true of some but not all, I see the flaws in our country, I want to change them but I will always be proud to be Irish, I dont think its better then any where else but its my home so it will always be special no matter where i may end up in life

Dublin people are about 20 years behind civilization and outside the pale they're still living in the middle of the last century.

Have you seen the French on Bastille day? or the Scots on Burns night? and many others nations on their national day.

Iam not saying improvement need not be made, but I think you are a bit hard on us when you singleing us out of the other nations .
