Whither D4?
A few years back there used to be a great choice of ladies to meet in the D4 area. Generally there would be 30+ girls working in the area, in particular in and around Barrow Street. There's been a similar drop off, albeit not as great, in D2.
However there has been a big decline over the past 12 months or so and this evening there is only 12 girls working in the area. At the same time there has been a big rise in areas like D9/Santry and D18/Sandyford. What's the reason for this?

Yep LeatherHeaven is correct. Overall Dublin numbers are way down too. It's only to be expected that the areas with highest rents should suffer the most.

Dublin numbers are no lower than they were 3 years ago.
Before Christmas they were running at the 300+ mark which is all they ever were 3 and 4 years back as I recall.
The number in January is always low because of escorts going home for Christmas.

I think the main difference in D4 is there used to be a load of Brazilian girls working in the gasworks apartments but not any more for whatever reason, maybe rent as suggested. I also recall the cops put some heat on the area a while back which might have had an impact.
