There was a really good docoumentry on recently with Louis Theroux, he was examining the porn industry and he had
originally done a documentary on the same subject 12 yrs previously and he went back and tried to meet as many of the
people he had met previously as he could. Some had retired moved on some were still in the buisness etc.
What it really brought home was how the internet had totally decimated and changed the Industry from what it had been.
The point was made that not like before now with the abundance of media outlets for porn that the day of Porn Actors/
Actresses being connected to a studio or label were long gone and that to make a full time living as a proffesional porn actor/actress in most cases was now not possible.
One thing that i found very intresting was what a very long term actor Tommy Gunn said, and that was that the industry
emotionally etc seemed to take a bigger toll on the male actors than their female counterparts which i thought would be the opposite. What he said i thought was quite sad he said the trade off of being a succesful actor and the monetary gain and trappings that came with it was that basically it ruined his ability to have a private sex life.
