    Cool New Years Resolution

My New Years resolution is to speak my mind but in a polite respectful considered way.

    So Ill start now.

Are all new thread posters equal? Does the response a thread poster gets to a thread depend to any extent on Gender? or something else?

I ask because I have noticed that some posters always get loads of replies no matter how silly, funny, serious the topic posted is or isn't.

Whereas other topic posters get very few replies no matter how silly, funny, serious the topic posted is ... or as before ............. isnt.

I have a theory.......... but that's another thread.

    Bring it on.

It's only natural for long term forum members or short term prolific posters to build up a rapport with each other and respond to each others threads quicker than to someone they don't know, hat said every now and again an unknown comes up with something original (this isn't but I'm still replying) and it gets great attention from everyone.
Best advice is to contribute to all threads and don't worry if your own aren't getting the attention you had hoped for, only leads to disillusion if they don't and you worry about it..

Hey Rocker... i have to say im usually PMSL at some of your threads ... keep up the good work...

i guess it takes a person (lets call them 'normal' ) time and contributions to build up a certain gravitas, an apprenticeship as it were ... the girls have a leg up on us anyway (or leg over maybe)... and watwatwat is just too funny

Yes, escorts nearly always get more replies and thanks for their posts. After all, they're the reason we're all here

That was the conclusion I came to too and that is why I clicked cancel instead of posting. It's the 'Herd Mentality' (or maybe 'Pride Mentality' is more appropriate given your avatar! Lol)

The one thing that does still puzzle me is the need/tendency to actively dismiss threads. If a thread is not to one's liking then ignore it.

Is it tough love? Is it a way of weeding out the weaker community members for its overall betterment? Natural Selection? Survival of the Fittest?

if it's one of the above fair enough, I just need the actual benefit pointed out to me!

    Maybe it's just life!!!!!

By the way, it doesn't bother me; my punting life was fine before the E-I community and will be after it.
