It's only natural for long term forum members or short term prolific posters to build up a rapport with each other and respond to each others threads quicker than to someone they don't know, hat said every now and again an unknown comes up with something original (this isn't but I'm still replying) and it gets great attention from everyone.
Best advice is to contribute to all threads and don't worry if your own aren't getting the attention you had hoped for, only leads to disillusion if they don't and you worry about it..

True but people judge people based on shit and rumors that are spread around by idiots with nothing better to do with their sorrowful existence and believed by people who have no minds of their own. The therapeutic thing is they waste their lives away.

My New Years resolution is to speak my mind but in a polite respectful considered way.

Are all new thread posters equal? Does the response a thread poster gets to a thread depend to any extent on Gender? or something else?

I ask because I have noticed that some posters always get loads of replies no matter how silly, funny, serious the topic posted is or isn't.

Whereas other topic posters get very few replies no matter how silly, funny, serious the topic posted is ... or as before ............. isnt.

I have a theory.......... but that's another thread.

Well the honest reply to ure question is that u may plough a lonely furrow here if u dont subscribe to one of the
cliques here , but if u join one of them the mutual admiration ,arse licking and back slapping is incredible. If u only
think about posting u will immediately have em all poised to reply gathered round there keyboards like flys around
a cow shite. The content of the reply will be irevellant just the fact that u reply and offer the moral support.
As for myself ive been here over 5 yrs and have always voiced my own opinion be it agreed with or not,and i wont
be changing ,i would say im not particularly popular but hey i dont cry myself to sleep at night over that.
Always be ure own man and u will have few regrets

I subscribe to the clique of members who do not subscribe to cliques. Lol

In truth I couldn't be arsed about replies received but I definitely see patterns regarding responses to postings and was curious to see what feedback I would get. The feedback alone is interesting and much appreciated.
