Ran out of time adding a bit to my last post, just telling you of a rag doll I gave to a little girl many years ago,she got dearer dolls afterwards but mary lou was the special one that went everywhere with her, dolls came and went but ML remained, even though clothes had to be replaced,I was taken aback recently to see ML with another little girl, the next generation, not looking too bad despite her age,a thought struck me,it is not the price of a toy that makes it valuable,it is the love that is lavished afterwards on it,the cost of this rag doll, the staggering amount of 3.99,could have been pounds or punts it is that long ago,so folks remember even a rag doll can light up a childs life.Shite I am getting old, when the kids have kids.
Before I forget I will be donating toys this year as usual,I know our local SVP people well,I won't go down DL and benny's route but urge people to thank them,it is for a good cause,it is the one time of the year that should be special for a child, yes I know that it is christmas day nearly all year round now,or was, sadly all changing for the worst.

Great idea Dub Lad !
Our group of friends puts money away throughout the year and in November we open the piggybank and get some stuff needed by people/group/school/kindergarden ( chosen out of a pot of sugestions ) and hand them over !
A childs smile is better then anything one could by for money ...
Last year we got a computersupplier on board , who matched every computer we bought from them , that was awesome !
