    Cool Any mechanics??? 2.0 hdi problem

    Nothing to do with here just taught someone might be able to help!!!
    No f**kin smart arse comment either lol

    had to take out an injector this evening cause it was leaking (2.0 HDI)
    it came out no bother thank god, but the copper washer? WTF??
    how do you get them out..................

    Give us a clue. Where is the copper washer? At the bottom the hole out of which you unscrewed the injector? If so then can you get something long and thin down the hole? Like a crosshead screwdriver with a blob of vaseline on the tip? That might let you pull the washer out.

    thanks man, i've tried getting it out with a screw driver and all sorts. its jammed tight.
    its too damaged to leave in there now GRRRR!!!!

    You need an injector reseating tool. You can buy them at most good car parts stores. It will cut into the washer and lift it out. You then cut a new face where the injector sits on the head to ensure a good seal. Always use a new copper washer as the old one will be deformed. It only takes a few turns of the cutter to remove the old washer and a few turns to reface the injector seat.

    U need a welding rod with a point on it and slightly bend it and that will take it out

    Have you tried turning it upside down and shaking it?

    Thats the best way to do it because you could have more problems if the new injector is not sealed in right
