The year is the most obvious, so it CAN go at the end. Obvious, because you have 365 days to remember it, you DON'T need it up front!
The day doesn't come first because EVERY month has days, so knowing the specific day first would be confusing...as you still wouldn't know where in the entire year is being referred.
So that leaves the MONTH to be first! Once you know to what month is being referred, you've NARROWED the scope DOWN from 12 months to a SINGLE month!
Then you need the SPECIFIC day (i.e. DATE)....and you should already know the year. If it's not the current year, THEN you can see it at the end.
Hope that made sense. It did to me...and I just made it up!!
In the states we say it's NOVEMBER 10th not.... 10th of NOVEMBER you see!! I never understood why the date first everrrr I mean on a calender the MONTHS come FIRST!!!!
