The winner of a $23m jackpot in California state lottery has finally been found. A 69yr old woman came forward in the nick of time after CCTV image of her daughter buying the ticket on May 23rd was publicised lately in newspapers. The deadline for claiming the winnings was Nov 26th, three weeks away.
She had forgotten about the ticket lying in her car's glove compartment. And she had no idea it was a winning ticket. Luckily it was still there when she went looking for it.
