Talking Gabriel Byrne slams "The Gathering"

There's nothing more annoying than a feckin' Actor giving their political views. But this article left me laughing my ass off. Fair play to old Gabriel. He's damn right.

Yeah, and his being dropped as 'cultural ambassador' obviously doesn't cloud his judgement ... Rolleyes

Well wether he's bitter or not I still agree with what he's saying. THE GATHERING project is essentially a shake-down. Its pretty sad really.

But surely anything that brings a bit of money into the country now has to be a good idea? Of course it's to generate revenue but any extra tourists should be more than welcome to give a much needed lift to our emerald isle....
I don't think Byrne should of said that really. Not as a public figure. Sometimes it's best to bite your tongue. And sure the Yanks & Aussies will love digging up their irish ancestory. It makes one belong somewhere.

Pain is not a feeling an emotion nor a thought, Pain is weakness leaving your body.

Tis true that getting some money into the country is good. But the way they're going about it is sad. You don't invite someone to your house and then ask them to give you money. That's not how its done. That's a fail.

I think O'Reilly will be dumped after the cuts in the new year. He lost his friends in the Dail after the Roisin-Shortall-gate. Enda has got to dump in the new year. He can't have an openly corrupt TD like him in the cabinate. Its so bad looking.
