just the name romney sounds like an inbred yokul, so just based on that alone obama will win by default, unless more yokuls vote than non yokuls

Not being American, I only care about the administrations foreign policies, so am hoping that Obama will win. If Romney wins, he'll likely be "a bull in a China shop" when it comes to dealing with delicate foreign policy.

Obama has made his mistakes and has talked too much I think, but he is still a breath of fresh air (after the two term Bush administration) and is a damn sight better that his challenger!

However, it is going to go down to the wire!

So who do you think is going to emerge victor?
Like you Morpheus I hope Obama wins, you have already pointed out the obvious, plus the republicans are the same as FF/FG,a shifty, dirty bunch.

Oh, you are sooooo right Lilian. Unfotunately a large chunk (50% if you believe the polls) of Americans don't see it that way. Here's hoping that Obama gets the vote in the swing states.

Looks like most folks here think Obama is going to be re-elected. Wish I was that confident. God I hope Romney doesn't get in. He's right feckin' tool.

id like to see Obama win, i hate politics and all, im not smart enough for it, to understand all the shit they say lol but the 1 thing i noticed about Obama is that he is 1 smart cookie, i have seen Obama saying speeches before and they all came out of his head he was not reading a piece of paper he actually new what he was saying, unlike other politicians and stuff they have a piece of paper and have to read from it, its like there forced to read out what there saying, but Obama has it all in his head and that makes him much better than the rest cause he actually knows what he is saying unlike the rest who probably get other people to write there words so they can say it at speeches!!

Have to agree VSG. But 1 thing always puzzles me about Irish people, they cheer on a Left Wing Democrat and yet in their own election vote overwhelmingly for Right Wing parties. Maybe it's an Irish thing.

Obamas big problem is that by any criteria his first 4 yrs in office has been a huge failure, he has renaged on most of
his headline promises and even though he inherited a total mess from Bush the truth is that after 4 yrs the economy is
in a worse mess than it was when he gained office. If it werent for Quantitive easing(ability to print money) the US be
    another Greece or Portugal.
Obama also looks a tierd man, the spark and bounce of 4 yrs ago is gone.
But saying all that i still hope that Obama wins for the sake of the world in general and the non privlaged americans, because
Romney is only another version of Bush although he is more articulate and suave.
Another point i would like to make here is that while the Americans bang on about democracy the US election is anything but,
money plays a huge part in who is elected plus the fact that in general the turnout is only around 40% of registered electorate
(in irish election would be about 70%) and if a canidate gets over 50% plus of that vote it means that they have only got the
endorsement of just over 20% of the registered electorate. This can hardly be considered an overwhelming endorsement.

    Democracy a relative thing
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed
    but
