If you are not doing this, then you are not Independent, because someone is employing you. That is WHY some girls go to Agencies, because they don't want the headache of having to keep books and fork out the money up front.

Seriously you would think some people had no idea about how business works *scratches head*.
In the UK is it not the case that most agencies do not employ escorts? The escorts are self-employed. Many escorts there work for multiple agencies, plus independently at times, they are not employees of the agency, they are just taking work from an agency as a self-employed person.

Not entirely correct, as the agency will advertise on their behalf and arrange for their photo's to be taken and make their bookings for them. This means they are taking on the reputation of the Agency and therefore they are not generating their own work. If is is not quite the same as freelance, as when you normally work freelance you get paid for the work done, not have money taken away from you and the Agency is not paying them.

If you compare this with say a modelling agency. A reputable one would not charge them for creating a porfolio and they will actively look for work on their behalf and arrange interviews for them. They will then get their cut from the person employing them for the photo shoot, who pay them and they in turn pay the model.

I guess we do have a grey area, which is that the Agency don't have them on a payroll, as the client pays them, but then the question is begged... if the Agency girls are Independent and doing their own work. Why are they paying them 50%? Which is over and above the costs involved?

They then also take a cut for any work generated, but it would be nothing like 50% and a lot more hands on work and tailored to the individuals needs.

30 percent would be the maximum any UK agency would take, and most would throw in a Driver at that. I agree with the rest of your post entirely. The costs are far lower than any 50 percent. High profits will always attract criminal elements.
