Five Years

Five years today I registered on this site. Hard to believe I have managed to stay posting regularly for so long.

I just had a ban from here retracted, but I have to be honest and say that, while I did check in occasionally to read the odd thread, I didn’t miss posting at all, apart from my ‘Amazing Photos’ thread, and the Jokes threads that Emma, Harry, and a few others have continued to add to.

Internet forums can be very addictive and posters can get a bit lost in a surreal world where truth and life are suspended. My enforced absence has actually strengthened my resolve to seriously reduce the amount of time I spend on the internet generally. There is a big, bad, world out there and we all need to live in that world and experience real life.

So the point of this thread is to say to you all, have some fun on this and other forums, but don’t let it become the be all and end all, because it could distort the realities of your life.

I'm off for an extended break, as I just don't have the interest right now. There is more to life.

Welcome back forest,sad to say but you are right,though some of us choose not to live in the real world too much as you have said ,it is a big bad place at times.
