yeah lets just hope that its not as bad as predicted, many people in this country will have friends or relatives living in the areas set to be affected

Thanks Marsha.
It sounds and looks really bad with the worst to come tonight!
It's amazing to hear that New York has come to a standstill/ The subways are closed!!!! I just can't imagine it!
However, the one thing I will say is that the U.S.A is the one country that has the most resources and it best able to deal with this i.e. whatever the final outcome there will be a lot less casualties than if it happened any where else (take the example of Haiti!).
Also I think after Presiden't Bush's debacle in New Orleans, subsequent Presidents will always give these natural disasters a high priority now.
Not sure how this is going to impact the Presidential election outcome?? I really think that it will have a major impact, just not sure how?

Yes storms always terrify me and i never expierenced a hurricane,
never know what will hit or kill you.
I haven’t heard but has anyone heard if the winds will be strong enough to cause structural damage to any of the tall buildings and skyscrapers in NY? So far and what I can make out the biggest threat and danger is flooding.
