Default Garda Sergeant, 65k a year, family eats cornflakes for dinner...

did any of how hear this story that is doing the rounds today?
so it goes something like this, there is a Garda Sergeant who earns €65,000 a year before tax, the mortgage costs €1400 per month, but him and his family are struggling to such an extent that they have days when all they can afford to eat are cornflakes, also known as 'cornflake' days apparently...
just another example of how SOME of the public service are taking the p#ss!!

Sorry...obviously i dont know all their financial details...but i find it obscene that someone earning 65k is moaning that they cant afford to live
Come in she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm "
