I dont know why you are trying to make this into a personal issue though

Personally I think Irish agencies rip the girls of, hence my comments. Nothing to do with working for one, to each their own. Unfortunate the ladies are left to take the flack when they get busted though. Plus profiting from prostitution is illegal and it is my belief it will remain so.

My original statement was that unfortunately they could be no standardisation for agencies, and so they cannot be regulated.
But there is no such thing as a legal UK agency really? Agencies are more tolerated in UK, but they are not legal.

I wish I knew more about agencies in Ireland these days. How can we know when they are underground?

It is perfectly legal to run any social introduction agency. If your ads do not offer prostitution, you do not offer a premises and you do not know anything about the services ladies may offer. Infact, you can pay tax on that. No different to running a dating agency. The Internet opened up things to closer inspection, what with reviews and so on.

Probably could still go to prison if they bothered to get evidence though

You can't use the defence that escort is not prostitution in UK courts. Agencies are illegal in UK because it is only legal if you can show you are not exerting any control over the escorts, and taking bookings is considered exerting control. More tolerated yes, but legal, no. It has been shown time and time again that agencies are not legal in UK.

You wouldnt need to. If you arent asking for money for sexual services, that is not prostitution. So if you are merely providing a telephone number for a client and the ladies make their own arrangements, how could you know what they did? That defence has also been used, successfully. The cases that have been won are the cases where ladies were working inhouse, or explicitly offered for sexual services.

In any case, I think we are digressing. Wsant this about Irish agencies? I think my escort interview covers this for any interested

I don't agree with you about UK law here, but I can drop it and agree to disagree.
