Ok complete idiot I think.
Take away ronaldo, hmmmmm, wouldn't he have a replacement, who would obviously score goals. Also playing rooney out on the left or right is completely wasted, he's not an overrated player but one who works well for the team and doesn't complain when put in these positions, Rooney is Lethal when playing in the centre and would have scored a lot more.
Tevez is an excellent workhorse, lacks pace but damn well annoys the opposition and harangues them until he wins the ball (see barcelona 2nd leg).
You're right roryman, there would have been a lot more titles only for the foreign player rules, having to put out kids when there was the likes of Cantona, Giggs, Denis Irwin, Roy Keane, Schmicheal not even allowed on the bench for european games.
This is fergusons 3rd european title (he won one for Airdrie or someone like that in the scottish league before he came to united).
I still can't believe you said take away ronaldo's goals, that's idiotic to be honest, do you think he made all those goals on his own rather than have a team around him feeding him in?
Bottom line, it was a tough game and a tough season, both teams pushed hard and a bit of luck, grit and determination won it in the end, Man U. may be 700m in debt but they've a turnover of 250m so that's not a problem, there's not money hand over fist thrown at a team to try win leagues/cups, it's a cohesive bunch of lads that are GROWING with each other and learning, and watch them get better. Chelsea on the other hand are overpaid bunch of egotistical loners who have no concept of TEAM, a shame to see lampard and drogba go (both outstanding players) but again to much money at the club and you can't buy success.
