To mark Escort-Ireland.com's 11 years of working with women involved in prostitution in Ireland, we have set up the 'Escort-Ireland.com Award in Journalism'.
This award recognises journalists whose published writing during 2009 contributed to an increased public awareness, knowledge and understanding of our company's opinions on the sex trade in Ireland.
The contest is open to journalists who write for newspapers, magazines, news services, or online publications, either on staff or in a freelance capacity. Books are excluded from this award. (Sorry Stephen Rogers of the Examiner we won't be able to consider your new novel!)
A judging panel of Escort-Ireland.com management, one of our friends who is a journalist and someone from our PR company will review entries to select an overall winner.
The deadline for submissions is the 31st October 2009 and the award will be presented to the winner in November 2009.
Submissions should be sent by email to support@escort-ireland.com
Needless to say this will be a very prestigious award, much like the one we bestowed on Karen Coleman last year.
Last but not least, a big thank you to Ruhama for giving us the idea for this award,
