Q1. A man entered a city art gallery and did terrible damage to some very valuable Impressionist paintings. Later that day, instead of being arrested, he was thanked by the curator of the art gallery for his actions. How come?

Q2. At the Carlton Club, Alan Quartermaine was telling one of this stories. ''When the animal emerged from the lake I could see that its four knees were wet,'' he said. Marmaduke, who had walked into the room at that very point, then interrupted, ''I know what kind of animal that was.'' How did he know, and what kind of animal was it?

Q3. A man is found dead in a locked room. He has died of poisoning, and it looks like suicide. No one was with him when he took the poison, but it was, in fact, murder. How come?

Q1: He was Banksy and actually made the painting worth more by vandalising them

Q2: Either he was there, or like me, he knows that elephants are meant to be the only animals with four knees. Which is incorrect!!!!

Q3: Before he went in he was told that the poison was something else (e.g. water)

Q1: He was a cop and in trying to stop a thief from robbing them managed to damage one or two along the way. He could of also been a soldier, fireman, security guard, me etc. The main point is the "greater good", by damaging a few he saved many

Q2: An elephant doesn't have four knees, seriously, have a look HERE at a skeleton, you can clearly see it's front legs aren't proper knees

Q3: You never say the door was locked from the inside so I am assuming he was locked into the room and was starving so he took the poison out of desperation, so technically it's murder

    three quick questions:
1: Was the room locked from the outside or inside?
2: did the man know this?
3: did he know the poison was poison and not something else?

also, going through suicide legislation on the internet and if my previous answer isn't correct then I want to know if the country this happens in has any bearing on the fact that this is classed as murder?

No I believe that this case would be classified as murder in most modern countries if not all of them. :)

it's a VERY long shot, but here goes, the poisoning is radiation poisoning. The victim just happens to be locked in their room when they die, the fact that the room is locked has no bearing on the poisoning. So what the murderer did was get a radioactive substance and place it in an adjoining room/apartment, because of the very short wave lengths involved in radiation it was able to pass through the wall and kill the victim.

Now that is the most bizarre but plausible way for this to happen, so I don't want to hear good effort BS just give me the points
  18. monster_monster's Avatar
forgot to mention that after the victim had died the murderer returned and removed the radioactive substance so no one would know

Sorry about this MM but that was not a good but a great effort. Less than three hours to go for the answer to be revealed. :)
