In fairness, I use the term 'dating' very loosely. it could be as little as having the occasional lunch together or a much as living together. As a point of principle, I would never allow a working girl to pay for anything and I would never live with a girl if she was working. One girl that I lived with left me after a couple of months because she missed the independence of making her own money and I would not allow her to work while we lived together. We used to fight over this but I felt that it was getting too close to being a pimp and I would have been very worried about her meeting some psycho. We continued to go out together until she left for foreign parts.

Escorts date clients all the time and it is not an issue. However, I suspect that the real question is; if you know that a fellow poster is getting sex for free, would you still be happy to pay the full price for it? The answer is that it would make no difference because there is not the slightest chance that he is getting sex for free.
In a mis-spent life, I have dated dozens of escorts, lived with quite a few and even been married and the one thing that has never happened is having sex for free. I can tell you from a vast amount of experience that the time that a girl says that you do not need to pay her is the point that the relationship starts to go downhill and get seriously expensive. One thing that escorts never seem to lose is the relationship between money and sex. I am convinced that they have a little cash register inserted in their brains. It does not matter how much they might enjoy themselves, there is always a little slate being marked. Typically, you might have sex five or six times over a couple of weeks and then find that the girl really needs your help as she is short €2k for the rent. In their little mental calculator the hourly rate goes up as a girlfriend, goes higher as a live-in girlfriend and hits the roof as a wife
My strongest and best advice is that when an escort suggests that you do not need to pay her, insist on paying as you do not want to feel that you are taking advantage of her.

But I have witnessed posters here and on other forums state that they would not visit Escort A because it is rumoured she is dating Punter B. I just fail to see the reasoning for this is all. I would suggest that the reasoning is perhaps the regular client may feel less special then he thought he was, and would not visit again. Or perhaps punter A dislikes punter B, which is a stupid reason IMO.

I agree. Most escorts are smart enough to realise this.
But often it appears certain clients can't resist posting that they have a "special relationship" with a particular escort seemingly unaware how ridiculous it makes them look. And believing that doing this somehow raises the lady's reputation.
It's a lot of nonsense on this playground site but can be funny to read.
