Jackie, I bet you will find, like I did, that they aren't coming from E-I, but rather from a similarly named site without the hyphen who are desperately pimping for business, even sending me pm's here!
Unfortunately when I first started in Ireland, like a mug I paid for an ad with them... Well, I can see why they need to go for the hard sell with escorts, put it this way, their site didn't do anything for me! And I still get texts/ emails from them weekly, slagging off the other sites and trying to convince me to take an ad.

Ban my IP? I am using TOR, so that won't work (you'll just be banning an IP in Germany or any TOR node that I am using at the moment) . Kill off my username and I'll just make another.

I guess you could ban the IP range of south Dublin and all tor nodes but that would be like cutting off your nose to spite your face, wouldn't it? Then I could just use a North Dublin IP Range and so on.

Anonimity was built into the core technologies of the internet.

I guess you could make potential forum posters apply for an account by submitting verifiable personal data to you (phone, address, ect.) That would get rid of me but it would render your forum useless as no one in their right mind would give you details like that.

I know you're not very technical, but I am. So why don't you consult your "monkeys", I am sure they can school you :-)

We all have equal footing on the on the internet and threat to "ban" me is idle and insulting. you could ban one or all of my many usernames but I'll just make more... or I could just take this whole site off line.

Now can everyone stop arguing, this shouldn't be a place of arguments... I know I've had a few spats with people myself over Xmas, as people have come here and annoyed me, but enough is enough, lets all let bygones be bygones now and have a good 2008. Pat x

if you dislike somebody on here go to the USER CP and put them on your ignore list. I personally have been ignoring westside and paws for the last three months (it doesn't stop them posting, but I certainly can't read what they are posting and the fact that they go to so much work to get my attention, if all for not, is amusing in the least.

All credit to Mrsbrown for the aptly named "hate campaign" thread. There seems to be a lot of different hate campaigns going on here. It is better than Eastenders or Coronation St.. Is all this ill-will for real or is it largely put on? It would be a help if all these personal enmities were consigned to a special section rather than constantly dogging all threads.
