Furthermore I will unabashedly admit that I find obesity a negative condition (it’s a disease!). Just as I would find leprosy or elephantiasis negative. The difference is the latter can do very little about their aliment.

Overweight and obese people are statistically more prone to depression and suicide as well has being at high risk for a plethora diseases (e.g. heart disease and diabetes)... nothing "okay" with that at all.
