Have gone scuba diving many times, not recently tough and not in Ireland, too bloody cold..

Now I gotcha I'd probably have a heart attack.

Nowadays some daredevil scientists dive with Great Whites sans cage.. Talk about having faith ! They practice putting the shark

in a tonic (atonic ??) state..

All waters have sharks and I never went out of my way to be in their vicinity but around the Barrier reef and the Maldives it's kinda hard to avoid them..

Always sets the heart racing when you get to see them on a dive; very exhilarating - but I'll never forget being surrounded by a shoal of barracuda on one of my first dives, off Bonaire, in my late teens - that really freaked me out!

And I do know, since then, that I wasn't really in harms way - but still...
