Staunton was unlucky against them so you'd never know

Retired from punting, yet still here?

Not an easy draw for Ireland, Sweden are beatable mind but the Germans always get through one way or another in these competitions. England get an easy ride again

Don't think we can even make the play-offs, Sweden can be real tricky. Germany will be grinder of a game.

Hard to tell what sort of team they will have, tend to be either good or very poor. Do play in a premiership/championship way, so might suit rIeland

Germany are the clear favourites to win the group with Ireland and Sweden battling it out for second place.Austria would not seem to be in the running while Brian Kerrs Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan should be routine wins for the other countries.Thats how it appears in theory anyway although from a logistics point of view travelling to Central Asia could be a bit of a nightmare.

It could have been a lot worse sweden are not the force they were when larsson was in the team.I think it will be a fight between the swedes and ourselves for second as germany have excellant players and should easily top our group.

    it will be interesting

Most of our players will have retired by then
so we will be looking towards the Seamus Colemans and James mcCarthys and Shane Longs to come good by then

Germany on the other hand have blooded their youngsters in the last world cup
