I get the sense that this is turning into something longterm. And I thought the long arm of the law was "under-resourced". But hopefully they'll show some sense and leave the discreet independent ladies out of it.
Garda c**ts,, but an escort caught twice in a brothel,, so which escorts says its none of the clients business who they are,, f**king right it is,, whats this about discression, confidentiallity, if an escort isnt wrking alone and allows a client into spend some time with her then,, all that is lies.. they are putting the clients livelihoods at risk specially ones who are married or in Rships... so is it all worth it for you guys who fall into that category...if i remember the other days thread it wasnt any clients business who girls are who are caught in brothels!!

Guys the raid was not is very similar to the one in Letterkenny and is run by some dodgy people that have underage girls working there there is no lock on the door you just walk on in and some big fucker watching you and the girls get no enjoyment out of it, if you get my drift. They are not independent and the cops are not trying to crack down on the good girlies here....

If you visit a brothel and pay for sex I can only assume that is a illegal activity in the Republic as being from the north im not sure of your legislation or legal code. I also understand that with a escort your paying for there time only and that is legal so i am making a general point here but if you dont want to be exposed in public for visiting working girls then stay at home with your girlfriend/wife/partner. As the old saying goes if you cant do the time dont do the crime,
I detest with all my being the thought of underage girls or others forced into this line of work, just as I respect the independant girls that choose to become escorts and without whom we would be missing out on some of lifes greatest pleasures. I know of 2 girls that im friendly with working in Galway at the moment both of which have my number in there phones and to be honest im more worried about there welfare than a phone call or rap on the door but i guess we all know the risk so i cannot complain.

Paying for sex is not illegal in the Republic, brothel or not, as long as the soliciting isn't done in public (ie curb crawling). In fact the law is even more lax in the republic than in the UK. In the UK you can be charged if you pay for sex with a girl who is under the control of another, even if you didn't know she wasn't independent.
That said, can anyone actually let me know what is likely to happen if you get caught during a raid in the republic? I don't plan on it happening because I only plan on visiting reputable independent ladies with lots of reviews, but you never know. If it's not illegal what are the consequences for a punter?
